Deus Sex Machina were a short-lived underground funk group from Düsseldorf, West Germany, active between 1976 and 1978.
Fronted by Klaus Richter, they made sweaty, provocative club funk with a sharp West German edge — repetitive, stylish and unmistakably physical. Their only release, the 1977 single "Alle Wollen Klaus / Ich Bin Dein Problem", disappeared quickly but later became a cult favourite among collectors.
